Empowering Women in Need: Creative Noggin Volunteers!

Our Texas-based team members had the privilege of volunteering at Seton Home, a shelter for pregnant teenagers in crisis.

While there, they were impressed by the beautiful Christmas decorations throughout the campus. But they were most moved by the empathy and dedication of the organization’s staff who work tirelessly to protect and support their residents.

The Creative Noggin team built shelves and organized an array of donated toys. These toys were later selected and wrapped by the young mothers for their children. It was deeply moving to be part of this tradition that sparks joy for the residents and their children each year.

Sheridan House in Davie, FL

Our Florida-based Traffic Manager, Shari, chose the Single Mom Ministry of Sheridan House for her volunteering day. This organization offers single mothers essential support, including groceries, clothing, and classes in personal finance, parenting, résumé preparation, and budget-friendly meal planning. Sheridan House is committed to helping single mothers gain economic independence and thrive in their home, work, and community lives.

Similar to the San Antonio team, Shari—as well as her sister—organized the overwhelming number of toys that had been donated to the program. These would later be given to local moms in need in order to brighten their children’s Christmas. The volume of toys was incredible and more continued to be donated as the ladies worked. It was heartening to see how so many community members chose to contribute donations to this worthy cause.

Saint John’s Program for Real Change in Sacramento, CA

On the West Coast, our California-based team members volunteered at Saint John’s Program for Real Change. This program offers shelter and comprehensive services that help women and children break free from the cycles of homelessness and poverty.

The team provided assistance in two ways. In the campus kitchen, they chopped vegetables and helped prepare lunch for the residents. Then, they helped prepare packaging for Red Door Desserts, Saint John’s fundraising program. Through this program, residents prepare baked goods to be sold while developing valuable job skills related to order management and supply chain.

At Creative Noggin, empowering women is at the core of our mission. Just as we strive to create a supportive and fulfilling environment for the talented women on our team, we are also committed to making a difference in the lives of women in our communities.

Each year, we donate at least 5% of our annual profits to causes that empower women. This year, we were honored to support St. John’s Program for Real Change. Since 1985, the Saint John’s team has helped 30,000 formerly homeless women and children escape unsafe environments and develop the skills they need to build a brighter future for themselves and their families.

But our commitment goes beyond financial contributions—each year, we’re thrilled to embrace hands-on efforts as well. This year, our nationally distributed team rolled up their sleeves to volunteer with three inspiring organizations. Here is a look at how we helped make a difference.
